Many Thanks From the Helm!

What an unprecedented year we've had!
Despite the challenges, we've still found ways to hold our regular board and membership meetings (via Zoom) and participate in distanced sailing races periodically, as well as some other events.

It's wonderful that we can get through the rough patches and look to the bright side with the support of the great group sailors here at TSS!  With this in mind, I offer my sincere thanks to the officers, board of directors, dockmaster, and committee chairs who gave of their time and talents to keep the club running well.  I also offer a welcome to those who are returning to service and coming aboard this year in those positions.  Thank you,, especially, to my lovely better half, Janet for your support and encouragement, and to the members of TSS for giving me the opportunity to take the helm of this great organization.

As we move into the new watch with anticipation of a return to the activities and fellowship we’ve been missing this past year, it is with a renewed appreciation for the many facets of activities, opportunities, and friendships that make us a unique and very special organization.  Fair winds!

The Memorial Garden

TSS Memorial Garden Project

We are so excited to be making our plans a reality…our patio is the focal point featuring engraved memorial bricks on the two walkways.  Bricks are available for purchase by a member (for any personal memorials) or for a member.  Our next shipment has a deadline of 10/17/20.  This is the last time bricks will be sold for $120.  Future purchases will be ordered once per year, at the end of each watch.
Our next phase includes the completion of the pergola, the stabilization where the storm water runoff feeds into the canal, a ramp/walkway to the back fence, the decking along the back fence and our tribute to the 90+ members who had passed away before 2018.  We will be adding handicapped accessible walkways available from the parking lot and the club side walkway.
We have an envelop with brick purchase forms, located at the TSS Mailboxes.  Donations-marked Memorial Garden can be set to  TSS  Attn: Memorial Garden P.O. Box 3277, Apollo Beach, FL 33572

Thanks for your support, from Mary Chapman & the Amazing Memorial Garden Crew
